WHAT IS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR?

Magnetic separator is a general term for equipment that uses magnetic force to separate magnetic substances from non-magnetic substances. They play a very important role in the beneficiation process. Most magnetic separators are used for ore selection, such as quartz sand, garnet, pyrite, hematite, limonite, siderite, etc. Of course, there are exceptions, such as eddy current magnetic separator is specially used for the separation of non-ferrous metals.

HOW DOES MAGNETIC SEPARATOR WORK?

Different magnetic separators have different working principles, but most of them have the same feature of using magnetic force to attract magnetic substances to the surface of the device, and then transport these substances out of the magnetic area through belts or rollers/ drums to complete the separation. There are exceptions, for example, the eddy current magnetic separator uses the reverse magnetic field generated in non-ferrous metals for separation.
